Subdued Polka dots and strips + awards nominations

camel jacket1

Although  February  month is still winter here,  in true Mediterranian style, the sun has returned ,meaning no more heavy or thick clothing!

I think that white, blue and camel are a winning combination. The coral was added, with the bag and neckless , for that  touch of  contrasting color.

I have to confess here my blog readers: Although it may be in fashion to mix and match polka dots and stripes, I only find it flattering when the dots and stripes are of  the same color

I find it whimsical and fun when polka dots and stripes are matched gently, in a subdued way. Who wants to look like a clown, right?

What do you think about this trend of mixing polka dots and stripes?

  1. I love your outfit. The shirt is beautiful. The color scheme is a success. The camel with coral, form a beautiful arrangement. I really like your necklace and shoes, both are beautiful. The jacket has a fantastic design. Magnificent look.

    • I agree about the color camel. I began appreciating it only lately…but now I believe that a pair of camel shoes and a jacket are a must… Thanks for your comment Daniella.

  8. I’m digging the subtle polka-dot/stripe combo….I have a pair of black and very thin pin-stripped pants…maybe I can pair them with a red and white small polka-dot blouse. I’ll take a picture and let you know if people here in Texas like it or not….not that I would care!

  9. I love how the necklace color matches the purse but the shoes match the jacket. It’s a great way to tie everything together! (inspirema.com)

You also have very classic features. Lovely woman you are (both face and figure). And style to finish things off.

Oh and I like mixing stripes with polka dots. But it takes a lot of style and creativity to do it right. And I don’t really possess that, so I usually stay on the safe side and leave it alone.
